I love any kind of thought that pushes you to build something for yourself, rather than for a cause that has nothing to do with your passion. Here’s one to get you thinking:
“The only truly safe thing you can do is to try over and over again. To go for it, to get rejected, to repeat, to strive, to wish. Without rejection there is no frontier, there is no passion, and there is no magic.”
What I love about this one is the concept of getting rejected over & over. Think of it as a numbers game. Keep trying, keep failing, keep asking.
