(ok, this one sounds woo-woo, but that’s just the title. The idea behind this is much more practical, as you’ll see in a moment)
Every day, a part of my time is dedicated to slowly chipping away at various problems I have. These are usually problems that a person could just accept as bad luck. But I don’t like accepting the status quo. I want to mold the world to my liking.
On several occasions I have been dealt a bad hand, and I have tackled those in ways that are sometimes obsessive. I wish I could handle all my duties and to-do lists that way, because I think I’m a lot more lazy than most people.
It’s just that when things appear unfair, I want to shape the universe back in my favor. Are you like this? Do you fret and worry about how something didn’t work out…or do you go out and fix it?
Usually these obsessive problem-solving bouts of mine involve contacting hundreds of people until I find the right person, in the right way, at the right time. Things don’t always turn out how I want them, but sometimes they turn out better.
“There are times in everyone’s life when something constructive is born out of adversity…when things seem so bad that you’ve got to grab your fate by the shoulders and shake it.” -Unknown
Don’t shy away from problems. My life is surrounded by them. I am sure I unknowingly cause a massive portion of them…so why not also believe that you can create lucky breaks? Favors? A turn for the better?
Go grab your fate by the shoulders. And shake.
And keep shaking until fate gives you what you want.
