Ep64-Rededicate Yourself and Keep Trying

There’s a concept of rededicating oneself quickly that I think is often overlooked.

We tend to get down on ourselves for messing up one goal or one resolution, so then that gives us permission to spiral out of control. But what if we just got right back on the horse? That’s what we’d do literally, isn’t it?

There is no such thing as going back to square one. Even if you feel like you’re having to start over, you are trying again with more knowledge, strength and power than you had before. Your journey was never over, it was just waiting for you to find it again.

So remember that you don’t go back to square one. There’s a cumulative build up of experience that is PART of the journey.

You will never know how much you can accomplish until you try. Never stop trying. Your miracle will come in undefined moments.

I’ve had some big and great surprises (miracles) happen as a result of continuing to try. So KEEP trying. Even when it feels like things aren’t working out.

Try, try, and try again. Never stop trying.

But be open to trying different approaches, different options, different methods. Mix things up and don’t think you’re beaten just because you stumble.

If God closes a door AND a window, consider the fact that it might be time to build a whole new house.

Mandy Hale

Variety is the spice of life, so think in new ways. If the doors and windows are closed to you, try the house next door. (I know that sounds very burglary-ish, so please don’t take it that way)

Can you think of a time where you tried to attack a goal from a different direction and it worked out?
