Do you plan your days in compartments? Or do you fly by the seat of your pants?
One of the best years of my life was when I stuck to the same set of activities almost every day. It was orderly. It was predictable. And I got a lot done!
But then there’s ALSO a joy in being flexible. In jumping around and being spontaneous.
What works better? Or what works better for you?
Logically it makes sense to stick to the orderly daily plans & throw in some flexibility just for some sanity. But too much jumping around and you’ll never get anything done.
Ask yourself as you’re going into 2020 with fresh resolutions HOW you can stick to a daily schedule.
Should you draw up a schedule and stick to hourly blocks with zeal? Should you draw up a list of daily “to-dos” and hope for the best?
I struggle with the philosophy of extreme high-achievement, and I think that’s because I’m a Mediator or an INFP-T as per personality tests. I LIKE being open and casual, and as long as I’m working towards a cause…a movement…a purpose or mission.
Be led by your goals. And help them out with focus.
But whatever you do, have goal. Have a purpose. And don’t stop.
